Manchester debut of the cult Japanese folk songwriter Ichiko Aoba, inspired by the likes of Studio and Ghibli and Disney. Ichiko Aoba has released six albums and become a cult star in her native Japan.
Since her first album Kamisori Otome in 2010, she has performed all over Japan, as well as around the world with her voice and classical guitar. In 2020, marking her 10th anniversary, she established her independent label “hermine”. She continues to create a heartwarming, fantasy world.
This is one of two concerts at the Burgess Foundation – an earlier matinee performance has been added due to exceptional demand.
